INTRODUCTION
Mika had always been a quit girl, always silent, never speaking to anyone, observing all around her but never intervening unless she had to, she was a bystander to her own life watching every day pass by her. This was how she liked it; this way she would not be able to connect with anything around her so when it was time to leave it she wouldn't be upset and no one else would either. Mika tried to live like this for as long as possible but little did she know that wasn't going to last for long.
CHAPTER 1
The sun lifted over the town of Rowane just like it did every morning, shining down on every tree, bush and house that lay on the land. It was very early, so early even the birds hadn't woken up to sing their cheerful song. But there was one girl that lay awake, in her bedroom she lay unable to sleep, this was Mika Brame. Mika had been staring at the ceiling. She was waiting for something, it had been plaguing her for weeks, and it was here again. Giving a loud buzz, Mika's mobile lighted up the room with the words,  'message alert'. Almost immediately she leaned over and flipped the case open where the message showed
'Be careful, you're being watched'
"What?" Mika scrolled down to look at the number but as usual it was blocked. Clutching the phone close to her chest she wondered what it meant. 'you're being watched'. By who? What did they want? But Mika knew she probably would never get these answers. Standing up she walked over to her wardrobe to get ready for school.
The streets outside of Mika's house soon filled with passing teenagers and kids, each one wearing a school uniform stylized to their own specifications. Flattening her own plaited skirt, Mika joined the laughing kids out on the street. Pulling out her phone she scrolled down her inbox to look at the weird text messages. She had been receiving them non-stop for four months each one different but saying exactly the same. 'there are people out to get you' 'trust no one' 'someone you know can't be trusted' at first mica considered they might just be prank texts but who would send a text just as the sun came up every morning for four months? Only recently the texts had become more eerie warning her about a specific date, the 6th September which ironically was today.
During school, it was hard to concentrate on any work when that message played around in her head, 'Be careful you're being watched' surely if they cared about her enough to warn her they would have done so personally. But what if that person couldn't? What if they were with the people behind it but felt sorry for her and have been leaking information to ever since, mica shook her head vowing to lie of the comics. When the bell rang she was the first one out of the class room and the first to exit the building, as soon as she was out of sight she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone once more to look at her inbox.
The streets around were quiet, the gold sun was now setting along the path causing shadows to stretch out like fingers. It was as Mika stared down at her phone that she noticed one of the shadows, a tall male figure hovering behind her.
'That's odd', she thought, ' I didn't hear his footsteps.'. As she carried on watching two more joined the figure, all tall males with broad shoulders. This was getting weird and it was disturbing how close they kept, every time Mika made a turn they followed. Until they hit a small path when four more appeared in front of her just down the road. As panic rose in her throat the phone beeped, a message displayed its self clearly on the screen;
'They're coming to kill you, run'
To the men's surprise the girl disappeared down a small avenue that cut off into a dead end.  Casually, they looked at each over and pursued but as they rounded the corner a very hard school bag flew into their faces, Mika ran through the men's legs and down the street. Flinging her bag over her shoulder again she could hear the men closing in from behind. Running out onto a main street she called out to whoever was shopping that day "help me! These men are after me!" people looked round and some tried to intervene but were only flung aside by the massive torsos with short grunts. Down three more avenues' Mika could feel her lungs about to give way, she had run so far she didn't even know where she was, it was this mistake that led her to turn a wrong street and into a dead end.
"Get her!" cried one of the men and three grabbed Mika from behind. Another stood in front and grabbed a bag out from his pocket. Screaming, Mika struggled as the guy attempted to put it on her head;
"No, please!"
The men held tighter.
"Please stop!"
As she shouted the man jolted and stared into Mika's face, a trickle of blood appeared in the corner of his mouth.
"Boss?" asked one of the men but the guy simply fell forward and onto the ground a long line of blood followed him.
As he lay there it became visible that there was a deep gash resting in the centre of his back. Shocked the men let go of Mika and walked backwards. Where the boss once stood another figure took his place yielding a long blood drenched sword. Striking a match he lit a cigarette and stared at Mika who fell to the ground; her legs unable to support her, and grinned sharply, the light of the cigarette lighting up every dark feature on his pale face.
And now my lovely people I present to you my first ever writen book, I hope you enjoy.
